I’m thrilled to welcome you to my online tutoring service! I believe that every single child deserves to feel brilliant and find that thing that makes them spark, and that passion is what truly drives my work.
My professional journey is a little different, and it's what gives me a unique perspective on learning. For many years, I worked with young people aged 4 all the way up to 25, providing crucial advice, information, and counselling. This experience taught me that success isn’t just about the subject matter; it’s about emotional understanding, confidence, and finding the right way to connect with an individual.
The Move to Specialist Education
Seven years ago, I decided to formally channel this dedication into education. Since, I have successfully undertaken my PGCE and gained Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). I’ve gained invaluable experience working in challenging and highly specialized settings, including Pupil Referral Units, Alternative Provision settings, specialist SEND schools and mainstream settings. This background means I'm uniquely equipped to handle the complexities of gap filling and building foundational skills, no matter how a child is currently assessed.
My Personal Connection to Learning
I can genuinely relate to the struggles some young learners face because I have ADHD myself! I understand firsthand how overwhelming the mainstream education system can be when your brain works a little differently, it often feels like fitting a square peg in a round hole.
This personal insight is a massive advantage in my tutoring. It fuels my commitment to creating tailored, engaging, and multi-sensory learning strategies that work with a child's unique processing style, not against it. My passion lies in ensuring that every young person feels truly empowered and has equitable access to the same opportunities as their peers.
